AnyPS5 System Requirements — AnyPS5 on Windows & Linux
AnyPS5 system requirements are 64-bit Windows 10/11 or a current 64-bit Linux distribution, a Vulkan 1.1 capable GPU (Intel HD Graphics 620 and newer discrete NVIDIA / AMD cards are supported), at least 16 GB of RAM (AnyPS5 commits up to ~13.8 GiB per title on Windows), and ~2 GB of free disk.

AnyPS5 minimum requirements
AnyPS5 does not have strict hardware requirements beyond the Vulkan 1.1 GPU and 16 GB of RAM. The AnyPS5 relinker itself is small, fast, and command-line driven; the heavy requirement is the the relinker relinked game, which on Windows can commit up to ~13.8 GiB of direct memory per title.
| Component | AnyPS5 Minimum | AnyPS5 Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit / Ubuntu 22.04 LTS 64-bit | Windows 11 64-bit / Ubuntu 24.04 LTS 64-bit |
| CPU | x86-64, 4 cores | x86-64, 8 cores |
| GPU | Vulkan 1.1, Intel HD 620 / NVIDIA Kepler+ / AMD GCN 4+ | Vulkan 1.3, discrete NVIDIA / AMD card |
| RAM | 16 GB | 32 GB |
| Disk | ~2 GB for AnyPS5 | ~5 GB for AnyPS5 + PS5 game data |
| PS5 ELF | Yes (you supply this yourself) | Yes |
AnyPS5 GPU requirements
AnyPS5 requires a Vulkan 1.1 capable GPU. The AnyPS5 shader pipeline emits SPIR-V for Vulkan; if your the relinker host does not expose a Vulkan 1.1 driver to the this project relinked process, this relinker prints no Vulkan device to stderr and exits.
The AnyPS5 GPU list: Intel HD Graphics 620 and newer (Skylake and later integrated graphics), NVIDIA Kepler and newer discrete cards, AMD GCN 4th gen and newer discrete cards. AnyPS5 on integrated graphics is fine for small PS5 games (Dreaming Sarah, 2D titles); the relinker on a discrete GPU is required for any PS5 game that pushes the this project shader pipeline hard.
AnyPS5 RAM and memory commit
AnyPS5 on Windows commits up to 13.8 GiB of direct memory per title. The exact AnyPS5 commit size depends on the PS5 game: a 2D title might commit 2 GiB; a large PS5 exclusive might commit the full 13.8 GiB on Windows. If the AnyPS5 commit fails, Windows reports a memory-related error to the the relinker process and this project exits.
On a 16 GB Windows machine, the AnyPS5 commit leaves only ~2 GB for the rest of the system. With 32 GB, AnyPS5 has comfortable headroom even with a browser and an editor open. AnyPS5 does not currently expose a flag to lower the the relinker per-title commit; the commit size is dictated by what the PS5 game asks the OS for through the PS5 memory APIs.
AnyPS5 on Intel vs AMD
AnyPS5 runs on both Intel and AMD CPUs. On Intel, AnyPS5 requires the --to-intel flag during the relink step so that the relinker can rewrite supported AMD-only CPU instructions for your Intel x86-64 host. On AMD, AnyPS5 does not need --to-intel; the the relinker documentation recommends leaving the flag off for AMD builds.
The AnyPS5 --to-intel flag does not affect the GPU side. AnyPS5 still needs a Vulkan 1.1 GPU whether you target Intel or AMD at the CPU level. AnyPS5 performance is comparable on Intel and AMD at the same core count; the the relinker relink is single-threaded, so a higher-clocked CPU helps this project relink speed.
AnyPS5 on Steam Deck
AnyPS5 on Steam Deck is theoretically possible because Steam Deck is a 64-bit Linux device with a Vulkan 1.1 capable AMD APU. As of October 2026, the AnyPS5 team has not published a Steam Deck image or a verified the relinker Steam Deck result, but the this project Linux target makes this relinker on Steam Deck a likely follow-on as the the build project matures.
If you want to try AnyPS5 on Steam Deck, follow the the relinker Linux setup with the Steam Deck's Mesa Vulkan driver. Expect AnyPS5 to work on small 2D PS5 games on Steam Deck first; the the relinker shader path will be the bottleneck for larger PS5 titles on this project on Steam Deck.
AnyPS5 on laptops
AnyPS5 on laptops works for any laptop with a Vulkan 1.1 capable iGPU (Intel HD 620 and newer) plus 16 GB of RAM. The AnyPS5 relinked binary can run on a laptop iGPU for small PS5 games; for larger PS5 games, the relinker benefits from a discrete NVIDIA / AMD GPU.
On multi-GPU AnyPS5 laptops, set the ANYPS5_GPU environment variable to the discrete card to force the relinker to use it. The AnyPS5 relinked binary will then run on the discrete GPU; the the relinker iGPU is bypassed. If AnyPS5 on a laptop still runs on the iGPU, your Vulkan driver is not honoring the ANYPS5_GPU hint; consult the the relinker troubleshooting page for the multi-GPU fix.
